Between a stacked festival season and an unrelenting fall club schedule, Aaron Triggs has managed to bookend the summer with another EP. Following May's Speech EP, Bleep Bloop is poised to drop the 4-track EP, Prologus Auxilium, on September 28th via the innovative Alpha Pup imprint.
Our first taste of the EP comes in the form of “Tremors,” a collab with The Untz Festival alum and no stranger to the Alpha Pup label, Tsuruda. Alongside Thomas Tsuruda, Triggs cultivates a stuttering halftime hook of sparking, snaking live wires hissing and writhing under a blanket of heavy smoke. The shudder of fuzzy mod loops hurtles into a distorted wail of dying electronics. In short, just our kinda jam.
The EP itself is comprised of four collabs, with fellow festival alum Mr. Bill joining in, as well as UNTZ fave Ethan Glass. The final track of the collection features Detroit newcomer Nebr the Tiger whose rough and rugged delivery seems a perfect match for Triggs' unforgiving sonic terrain. Each co-creator gets the Gary Paintin pentocular special.
Bleep Bloop just today announced a B2B set with another fest fave EPROM at the year end Texas function Lights All Night. He has also announced a slew of fall dates throughout the country to go with his Red Rocks date in October with REZZ.
