A little more than a year after the release of their debut full-length effort, Blind Threshold, Blakan big beat and gypsy jamtronica act Beats Antique is poised to release another album. Joining percussion-programmers David Satori and Sidecar Tommy, choreographer-performer Zoe Jakes has gotten more involved on the production end, lending her years of dance instincts to the programming element. Add a slew of horns and a sound firmly rooted in both the future and the past, and you've got a taste of their new album Elektrafone, courtesy of the sneak peak "Cat Skillz." Grab the full-length in just a week on Oct. 4th, and catch them throughout the Southeast, West, and at some major festivals (Moogfest, Bear Creek) through the entire month of October.
