Ever since Singularity dropped his Breathe EP, the young Californian has been going hard in the remix department. Mind-blowing switch ups of Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen, Seven Lions, and Kanye West prove he’s not afraid to pull influence from artists across a broad spectrum of genres, while highlighting his limitless taste in music.
Singularity’s latest revamp dabbles into the world of trance, with an ethereal new take on a classic tune from Above & Beyond. “Thing Called Love” slowly immerses your current state of mind with chilling synths, visceral snare hits, and the tantalizing vocals of Richard Bedford. This insatiable combination works like a charm, creating a heavenly ambiance that retains the core feel present in A&B’s storybook lyrics.
The California kid strikes again, and “Thing Called Love” is his most ambitious remix to date. Singularity kicks off 2013 with a bang(er), and we can’t stop drooling.
