Though Aaron Pugh's streaming sets have been incorporating a ton of drum & bass, lately, our Birmingham boy pulled back on the BPMs for his latest track.
“Try to Feel” is the latest from VCTRE. An extremely chilled out beat serves as a place setting for Pugh's signature synth horn top lines. The warbling, mournful melody pierces through the stuttering percussion, taking center stage except for some choice Ski Mask the Slump God selections.
VCTRE threw the track up on BandCamp late last week to get some donations flowing with the end goal of purchasing a new laptop.
We selfishly want him to hit that goal, because Pugh returns to California this October for The Untz Festival, where he'll be performing two sets, this year: one VCTRE set and one Integrate set with Black Carl!, with too many of his contemporaries to even begin to name.
