This past summer, Jay Murphy garnered a whole new audience when he hit the road on the big STS9/Umphrey's McGee amphitheater run. The Up Until Now brand finally got the exposure it deserved, and Murphy delivered with stellar sets packed full of glitchy goodness and some future funk. Whether he's pumping live sets with huge special guests, or dropping his tunes in a DJ set, fans have come to expect nothing but the best from the talented producer.
Today, we premiere his latest EP, Come Too Far, a day before its official release. These four tracks clearly demonstrate UUN's dedication to the groove. With poise and patience, each track is allowed to breathe, carefully developing the musical signature while maintaining knee-breakin' pockets throughout. Highlights include the title track, and "Drop Dat," an infectious tune with plenty of hip-hop undertones. Catch Up Until Now on his current fall tour, Come This Far.
