Together, Boston’s electronic music, art and technology festival, proudly announces its second annual competition season. In the inaugural season, winners Binmaker (producer) and Santiago Caballero (DJ) beat out hundreds to grab a prize package from Music Studio Direct valued at over $3,000 for the DJ winner and $5,000 for the producer winner.
This year, the game has changed slightly. DJs will still be judged on the same merit but the producer competition will be a remix contest. The DJ Competition will judge on track selection, transition, flow and overall ability, all in hopes of discovering the newest talents in New England.
The producer competition will be a contest to remix a track from either electronic producer André Obin, party starters Hot Pink Delorean or the band Gentlemen Hall.
Contestants are not only competiting for the same amount of software and gear (likely more), but also competing to win a year supply of Glacéau VitaminWater and all six top levels will win a prize package that includes Ninja Tune's 20 Years of Beats and Pieces book.
Potential remixers must apply for content via togetherboston.com/competition.
