D.C.-based duo Thievery Corporation has released a haunting video for its latest single, “Depth of My Soul,” featuring the lush vocals of Shana Halligan (of LA trip-hop duo Bitter:Sweet).

"Depth of My Soul" explores just that; it's a look into the somber reflections of life’s trials and tribulations through the lens of a fading love story. The video captures an image of human longing coated in an icy malaise. The production on this track is light, much like the slow snowfall surrounding the video narrative, while grasping at the inner reaches of desire and regret.

Halligan’s vocals are lustful but quietly laden with a beautiful pain. The song is introduced with a gorgeous symphonic blend of tinkering piano and smooth slow strings inviting the ghostly voice of to breeze above. A subtle bass line and brushed out snare move it all along with humble grace.

The musical talent of Thievery’s Rob Garza and Eric Hilton blends seamlessly with Halligan’s incredible vocal stylings to create a simple, yet elegant piece of work that cries out for a moment of meditation on the depths of our own soul.
