For the past half decade, David Sugalski has been DIY-ing himself across the country with a special blend of house, electro, funk, and glitch. As The Polish Ambassador, he's produced four varied party albums--and even a fifth under the moniker Ample Mammal. Now, he's garnered the attention of big-time electronic label 1320 Records.
Sugalski is in the midst of a big national tour, which is taking him down the Atlantic seaboard, and up through the Midwest. Instead of grinding a genre or BPM into the ground, his sets incorporate multiple styles at multiple tempos and rhythms. Ever present in his sets is his bizarre cadre of remixes sure to bring a smile to your face--if not make you scratch your head. While the next Polish Ambassador full-length is expected on 1320 Records in the Spring, his latest EP Homeboys in Outer Space is available now at his website.
The "Dubstep King of America," 12th Planet, will be featured on next week's The Untz Podcast. This irreverent LA native has been around the D&B block for years, and his releases set the tone for the grimiest, filthiest, most hard-hitting producers. His remix of Little Jinder's Youth Blood with Switch was featured on Diplo's Blow Your Head dubstep comp. You don't want to miss it!
