For three New England bass heads, things couldn't be going much better. Terravita as been on a tear, as of late. They have released tunes on Excision's Rottun Recordings, and most recently on DatsiK's Firepower label. From their roots in drum 'n' bass, Chris Barlow, Matt Simmers, and frontman Jonathan Spero have branched out into dubstep and drumstep, and even took on a side project as Hot Pink Delorean in the electro-house world. Spero talks about the band's start, the craziness on the road, and where today's industry is heading. Lots of love to the Boston crew on this episode.
The trio is currently on the road with Datsik's FIREPOWER tour, featuring Getter, AFK, XKore, and many more special guests. Coming up are four shows in California, beginning tomorrow night (Oct. 19th) in Los Angeles at Avalon. After California, the tour heads back across the heartland and out to the East Coast before even more West Coast dates. Hopefully, tour manager Jim Feeney has a little better luck than he did in Texas, when 21 noise violations resulted in a quick trip to jail. Stay strong, Feeney. #freejimfeeney.
