Not many acts in the electronic music industry are tackling concept albums. But that's just because most acts don't possess the foresight, innovation, and sheer gusto of Colorado's SunSquabi. Today, TheUntz.com proudly premieres the second installment in the trio's Fundamental Interaction series. Magnetism is the six-track EP following Nuclear Force and paving the way for Super Gravity, slated for release later this year.
With powerful contributions from DYNOHUNTER's Clark Smith on sax, producer/guitarist Kevin Donohue, bassist Andrew Clymer, and drummer Chris Anderson have accelerated their songwriting and technical prowess at a remarkable rate. The band is really exploring its "hydro funk" sound, drawing in moods and influences from outside the livetronica box. This is an act really hitting its stride, and it's exciting to watch. Literally, a very exciting act to watch, which is great for the midwest, as the boys embark on their Fundamental Interaction tour tonight in Iowa before heading to Illinois and Tennessee. The trio wraps up the tour with three dates in Texas.
