It doesn’t matter where you’re from, what your hobbies are, or what music you listen to, death affects us all. Whether it’s a long time friend, a family member, or even a respected musician, it’s truly a painful moment.
While The Untz specializes in covering diverse realms of EDM, that doesn’t mean it’s all we listen to. A lot of us grew up enjoying metal and rock bands, and this paved the way for many of the artists we follow now. Bands like Suicide Silence have been revolutionary in progressing today’s current “Hardcore” scene, so the passing of their vocalist Mitch Lucker truly hits home for the whole Untz staff. The 28-year-old musician was killed last night in a devastating motorcycle accident near Huntington Beach. The surviving members of Suicide Silence released the following statement: “There’s no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts. R.I.P. Mitchell Adam Lucker. We love you, brother.”
No matter what kind of music moves you, or what artists you choose to support, incidents like this hit home for everyone. Our condolences go out to the friends, family, and bandmates of Mitch Lucker. He may be gone, but his music will always live on.
