Max Pote knows how to play nice. Why do you think he was asked to join Minnesota for his huge, nationwide tour? So it makes sense that bass legend Datsik asked Protohype to join his powerhouse Firepower Records label. In the midst of the whirlwind tour dates, Protohype is releasing his first in a trilogy of EPs, See No Evil. The monkey man, at just 22-years-old, pumps out this 7-track package tomorrow (March 19th).
Chock full of collaborations, the EP moves from straight-up banging drumstep to groove-heavy glitch-hop, then straight into "Bad Boy Flow," a moombahton/hardstyle/trap anthem (dropped by Dillon Francis this past weekend at Ultra Music Festival) co-produced with rising star ETC!ETC! Then ETC!ETC! turns around and takes a moombah swing at "Turn Up the Bass." And what Protohype release could take place without his old buddy Kezwik? It'd be WRONG. Their "Menace" joint is heavier than heavy. With an ear for production quality and a variety of flow that makes the journey interesting, we can only imagine there's a line around the building of producers who want to play with Proto. We at TheUntz.com are thrilled to premiere the EP, and we're absolutely salivating over Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil, coming out soon on Firepower.
