Pretty Light Music has teamed up with cinematographer and documentarianJared Levy for a fresh look at the art of graffiti.Despite the sea change in attitude about street art over the last 25 years, the medium has remained relatively unappreciated. Graffiti Fine Art takes place at the first ever Biennial International “Graffiti Fine Art” exhibition.
The exhibition features over 65 artists from 13 different countries. In addition to showing each artist’s work being created, the documentary takes an in-depth look at the art of graffiti and the contrasting view on its place in the art world.Pretty Lights, Paper Diamond, and Michal Menert all contribute songs to the project.PLM and Grafitti Fine Art are like peanut butter and jelly on screen.
Levy has worked closely with the label on other projects. He most recently directed Pretty Lights' New Year’s Eve recap video. If you've 40 minutes to yourself, take the time to enjoy the colorful art of 65 artists as well as the colorful music of PLM.
