You just can't stop Ronnie Weberg. One of the brightest stars of the Denver bass music scene, Unlimited Gravity, unleashes his brand new Event Horizon album on STS9's 1320 Records tomorrow (February 24), and today we've got a brilliant preview of what fans can expect from the record.
"Grave Safety" is a powerful punch in the gut of straight up bass. Weberg has always had a signature synth sound, and it comes across in this one. Melodic lovestep underscores the bit-crushed soundscape. Think Mux Mool meets Phutureprimitive. There's a thread that runs through the entire album of the synthetic versus the organic, and this cut is a perfect example of that. Unlimited Gravity joins forces with longtime collaborator ProJect Aspect once again for an unforgettable Unlimited Aspect set at SONIC BLOOM in Colorado this June. Stay tuned for more from the bass bosses this spring!
