Bay Area house duo Smash & Grab are breaking out the sounds of the underground this week. Trafficking in tech house, the pair brings the rattling 808's of trap to the subtler world of house music with their new release, HAUS TRVP, hitting virtual shelves tomorrow (February 3) on seminal tastemakers MalLabel.

Today's premiere, "Last Call," is a sweaty, pulsing groove of vintage sounds and contemporary production techniques. Fuzzy, overdriven amps feedback loops of dirty, back alley sounds. It's the late night jam, and your favorite DJ will be spinning it.

Smash & Grab take off for the stunning southwest this week, playing the Gem & Jam preparty in Tucson, AZ on February 5 with drum and bass legend LTJ Bukem (joined by MC Armanni--that's a classic). The team then hits the festival grounds proper the next night for another set dripping with sweat.
