Papadosio is back with yet another addition to their series of visual counterparts to their most recent album, Extras In a Movie. The track “Out Of Hiding” receives a thought-provoking animation, directed by Thomas Robertson Forrest otherwise known as Goatfaced.
The track begins slow as the video transforms from abstract colors into a colorful forest setting. A wolf can be seen lurking in the shadows amidst the foliage. There are a couple of action sequences that will quickly grab your attention as the song’s unexpected breakdowns take their course.
By the end of the six and a half minutes you’ll understand exactly what it means to come “Out Of Hiding,” thanks to the genius of the five piece. The Asheville-based act veered into new territory with the latest album, which pairs its livetronica roots with more straight-ahead rock and indie-folk flavors. Papadosio is out west supporting the album this week, with stops in Wyoming, Montana, Washington, and Oregon beginning tonight.
The band headlines Red Rocks in Morrison, CO for the first time May 7 alongside Ott, Opiuo, and the recently announced livetronica act The Malah.
