Following in the footsteps of indie and rock fest Shaky Knees and the countrified Shaky Boots, the inaugural Shaky Beats Music Festival will hit Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta, GA the weekend before Memorial Day, May 20-22.
Snagging some of the top-grossing acts from across the EDM spectrum, as well as some indie electronica darlings to round out the lineup, the first phase roster is a who's who of major players in the dance music scene. Odesza tops the bill along with Big Gigantic, and a third headliner yet to be announced.
Hip-hop hits big with the legend Nas, backed up by A$AP Ferg and Tory Lanez. Electroni superstars Porter Robinson, Carnage, Duke Dumont, and Yellow Claw are out in full force, with left-field acts Cherub and MØ getting in on the action, as well. Newcomers Marshmello, NGHTMRE, and Jai Wolf make the cut, as well as relative veterans The M Machine, Trippy Turtle, Lunice, Com Truise, and Classixx.
Shaky Beats makes quite a statement by tapping the Soulection crew as a special feature, which includes sets from Joe Kay, Sango, and Esta.
This is not a camping festival, so hotel info is provided on the website, along with a list of prohibited items. 3-Day GA tickets go up for pre-sale tomorrow (December 9 at 10am EST) and general on-sale on Friday, December 10 at 10am EST for $162, and VIP tickets are available at $512. The VIP passes allow fans into restricted, air-conditioned bathrooms, private bars, and premium viewing areas.
