For a couple months now, we've been hearing rumors of G Jones. A jaw-dropping set at The Do Lab's stage during Coachella cemented the young gun's reputation as a rising star of the bass music world. Now he's gone and teamed up with the emperor of electronica Minnesota for an out-of-this world EP we're having trouble wrapping our minds around.
The Mile High Club EP features a couple of trill tracks with a subtle downtempo vibe. There's plenty of hip-shaking grooves, but the trio of tracks isn't over-the-top by any stretch of imagination. It gives a whole new meaning to "in the cut." But "Blast Off" changes things with a real twisted vibe that's all sorts of far out. Way far out, man. The hot young producers are killing it out there. And then they just give this one out for free. Must be your lucky day.
