I feel like I'm a little late to the party on HEIRZ. Our friends at Wormhole Wednesday and Electric Hawk have already gotten in on mixes and premieres. But we still don't know much about the mysterious duo of Buckets and Saman from Bellingham, Washington.

Besides of course the influences they draw from acts as disparate as Shades, Aphex Twin, and Tame Impala. Their debut EP, Digital Alchemy, will be out soon, and today we bring fans their lead-off single, “Imagery.”

Full of raucous bass energy, the tune is cinematic in scope, and punishing in its intensity. The duo weaves a wild story with its intro and ultimate descent into brooding madness. Check, check, and check on fulfilling its destiny via influence. We're getting all sorts of looks from these guys, and the rest of the EP is wildly varied and even includes some eyebrow-raising rhymes in the left-field hip-hop realm.
