Before taking on Philadelphia's Electric Factory for a two-night NYE stand, and then cruising into a winter tour with The Werks and Conspirator that will take them around the northeast and over to Colorado, premier livetronica act Lotus will be returning to Terminal 5 in New York City for a massive blowout on November 30th.
While the band splits its members between Denver and Philly, the Big Apple has always been a hotspot for the five-piece, with some of its most legendary setlists echoing from the hallowed halls of T5. This year is expected to be no different, with the addition of Up Until Now to the lineup in direct support. Jay Murphy spent the summer touring with Umphrey's McGee and STS9, and completed his Come This Far tour earlier this fall, before premiering his EP Come Too Far with TheUntz.com.
Post-rock and live electronic hybrid Lotus is fresh off one of its most groundbreaking sonic efforts. The quintet recently released Monks, a collaborative hip-hop album featuring some of the most innovative voices in underground and conscious rap. Guests included Lyrics Born, CX, Gift of Gab, and Mr. Doodlebug (Digable Planets), among others. The album is now available in a limited edition vinyl printing.
The Bowery Presents will be bringing this show to Terminal 5. In addition to bringing great acts to T5, they're also setting the table for the Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Music Hall of Williamsburg, and other incredible venues around the city. Trading in hip-hop, indie, EDM, and Americana, the wide variety of artists flowing into in Bowery's NYC venues keeps music addicts on their toes. You can purchase $25 advance tickets to Lotus & Up Until Now at www.terminal5nyc.com.
