Stepping out from his role as guitarist/keyboardist with Lotus, Luke Miller has transformed himself into Luke the Knife. With a penchant for disco, indie house, and above all, supreme funkiness, LtK is using his technical wizardry and production know-how to slice and dice some classic hits into modern retro marvels. Just a jackknife, has Miller, dear, but he's not keeping it out sight. He's chopping Breakbot's "Shades of Black," which is itself a take on George Benson's "Give Me the Night." The polished dance floor darling takes on a whole new personality in the live setting, which folks will get to enjoy this summer at Sonic Bloom, and of course the famed Electric Forest.
