TRUTH's signees to its Deep, Dark & Dangerous label are often emblematic of the ethos and aesthetic of the brand, but none so much as the latest EP from Canada's Konka.
War with the Devil is a delightfully evil EP, and today's premiere—the 5-track collection's opener—epitomizes the staggeringly murky sound heard throughout the release. “Annix” is a steamy and swampy stomper with such gorgeous production, it's no wonder its producer has become such a Shambhala fave. Where some might tone it down for public consumption, Konka goes to 11 on darkness and really consumes the speakers fully with a brilliant sound that is as addictive as it is hypnotic.
The rest of the EP is brilliant, and as always you can pre-order the release before it drops on July 23rd, and it'll show up in your inbox the second it drops. You can also become a monthly subscriber to DDD in order to fatten your arsenal and get the latest heat for cheaper than full price.
