Austin O'Meara's got anything but the blues.

Teasing his latest album, Phases, due out in early 2016, Kinetik Groove gifts us the first single, "Chicago Blues," which blends his hard-hitting electro-funk style with some soulful samples for an addicting appetizer to his forthcoming record.

O'Meara, a guitarist by trade, knows his way around heavy hip-hop samples, and this song exemplifies everything he's been working towards.

In January, we are expecting to get some good news about another collaborative album and tour with Blunt Force, featuring Brian Gustafson on guitar and drummer Deniz Baykal. At The Untz Festival in June in Mariposa, CA, we will be treated not only to an exciting Kinetik Groove and Blunt Force set, but their powers will combine for a huge Kinetik Force set, and we couldn't be more excited.

To help O'Meara make his way back to Illinois, you can support him at the Summer Camp: On The Road in Denver, CO showdown Wednesday, February 10 at Cervantes. We'll be bringing fans much more Kinetik Groove news in the coming weeks, but for now, strap it down and fire up those "Chicago Blues" to chase your troubles away.
