If
The Cosby Show was set in Staten Island, instead of Brooklyn, it would look like the video of "Tender Love" from Force MDs. So 80's, so colorful, such bold fashion statements, the R&B of the time ain't nothing to fuck with. Even newly re-elected president Barack Obama turned some heads when the track popped up on his Air Force One playlist. What? It's a kickass cut! So it makes us brim with joy to hear young producers like
Kill Paris taking chances with songs from yesteryear. Hot young producer Corey Baker puts his spin on the smash hit without irony. Lush synth sections add drama and flair to the remix. The pitch-shifted vocals belie any dated sound from the source material. In fact, the song gets such an update, it even sounds futuristic. Kill Paris demonstrates the kind of reverence of music of all types and time periods it takes to get ahead in the music business.
