For the past few months, the Bay Area's K Theory has been focused on taking its trap-laden sound to the stage with a full live band and frontman. Today, the outfit takes a left turn and heads toward house. "The Wall" is a pulsing track with a traditionally dance-oriented intro. The "drop," for lack of a better word then veers into really far out territory, reminiscent of The M Machine's "Black" from Metropolis Pt. I. Clearly these guys have been studying their comrades from the Bay. With an undeniable ear for hot sounds and a production prowess that does not limit them to any single genre, K Theory seems poised to swoop in and dominate any scene they find fit. This one is a free download, by the way.
