The northeast has always been a haven for jam bands. So it makes sense that one of its favorite electronic acts blurs the line between live performance and programmed beats with a healthy dose of wild experimentation. Virtuosic keyboard player Jeff Bujak has been criss-crossing the east coast spreading a drippy, bouncy, and above all fun brand of sonic surprise. Today, we premiere his remix of another jam favorite, Ween. While Gene and Dean might be done with one another, the pair leave behind a bizarre legacy of ... speechless. I don't know how to describe Ween. They're just awesome. You either love them or really love them. 'Nuff said. Bujak's track "Cleen" is done with appreciation for Ween's "The Mollusk" with a psychedelic spin.
Jeff Bujak will be performing at The Big Up 2013, taking place August 8-10 at Hemlock Hollow Farm in Claverack, NY featuring headliners Beats Antique, GAUDI, An-ten-nae, and many more acts. Info and tickets at thebigup.com.
