Jalaya Frisella Kunst has developed a tight bond with Sleeveless Records crew chief Stylust. The vinyl madman Geoff Reich has taken a liking to Jalaya, and the result is more material for the soundtrack to ripping your fucking sleeves off.
The Cobra EP slithers its way into our lives tomorrow, October 16, and I'm thrilled to give fans a peek at one of the monsters hidden away until midnight. “Hanuman” is a tightly coiled and fearsome beast that lashes out, grabs on with its teeth, and can't be shaken. Those steady wubs reappear throughout the track delivering heart-stopping venom on the edge of a blade. There's no question Jalaya has nailed the sound of the day with this hybrid bass bop.
Jalaya returns to The Untz Festival this June with his other family: LoFreq. Sporting names like Tripzy Leary, dope, and Barely Great, that stage is gonna be a rockin' once we can finally all meet in peace, prosperity, and, above all, safety.
