It's been a bit over a year since Jakare first landed on our feed. The new project from Halfred and Lo.Renzo taking contemporary “tribal organica” sounds to the ancient forests and mountains of South America exploded off of our page and fans became obsessed with their gorgeous and fresh sound.
The Italian duo returns this Friday with Schizophonia, a four-track EP with more of those flowing, lush compositions that evoke peace, tranquility, and an escape from our current antagonistic climate. Everyone deserves an escape, and that's just what we get with today's premiere, “Gloomynescence,” which grooves with an insatiable pulse that's great for non-dance floor enjoyment, which we're all forced to bear at this moment in time.
There's really something special about this type of music that works in so many settings, and whose main drive is to free us; to release us from our bonds. This is the perfect time for Jakare, but honestly, it always is, so throw it on in whatever scenario you find yourself, and you'll be good.
