Inverse Universe - New Clear Energy EP [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

Ever since we released "Without Hesitation," the lead single from Inverse Universe's brand new EP, New Clear Energy, which we're premiering today, we've been anticipating the release of this triumphant 5-track electro soul and swing package.
Plenty of retro instrumentations including honky tonk pianny and throwback slide introduce the uninitiated to the Inverse Universe ... umm... universe. Throw on your dusty cowboy hat and strap on your jetpack, because this is future music made by a couple of leatherbound, steampunk time-travelers cruising through musty record bins in forgotten corners of the world.
Between "Summer Swing" and "Blue Winter Slide," we see the seasonal affective disorder of most Chicago acts breaking through the crusty frost and springing into life with some deep, knee-breaking grooves. Plenty of bass follows through, and the Atmosphere remix is icing on the cake for a handful of fun cuts.
The pair makes its debut this Friday at Concord Music Hall, for the big Manic Focus release party featuring Wick-it The Instigator and Muzzy. They'll also be hitting Dabroots in Colorado 4/18-4/20 and head to Kentucky for Paradise Music Festival in July.
