The SpicyBois have gone international.
Tapping the talents of Tokyo's Herbalistek, the scrappy bass collective is expanding its brand across the specific and across half a dozen genres.
Already darlings of UZ's Quality Goods Records label, the Herbalistek duo jump into Spice world with Polarity, out August 16th. Our fans already know we're obsessed with this hustling cadre of weird bass provocateurs that have taken the scene by storm, but even keen observers will be blown away with the sounds Herbalistek is dealing.
Feast your ears on the title track, “Polarity,” which has to be thrown into the hybrid trap genre, if anything, and can only find comparison from me to Zebbler Encanti Experience, with its insane sound design, bold switch-ups, and complete disregard for any rules. You're going to have to throw this one on and give it a few listens to really take in its grandiosity.
The three track EP also contains collabs with Veepot and fellow Japanese export Allen Mock, with whom the duo recently went B2B. As for the SpicyBois, they've got takeovers going all over the country, a big showcase at Wakaan Festival, and much more planned for the rest of the year, so keep it locked on this feed for all things Spicy, because you know we're dialed in on these Bois.
