A few months back, drum and bass label Samsara Beats tapped Italian producer Sentierum for its oscillation comp. The liquidy cool “Back Home Blues” track has now been expanded into the Back Home Blues EP, which comes out September 9th.
While the rest of the EP has that same liquid dnb flavor, the remix for the title track the label pulled from Finnish breaks and drum & bass producer, Fanu, has a completely different sound, altogether.
Fanu's Neverending Road Remix is an extended, organic breaks journey with hip-hop tendencies and a real warm vibe. Starting at a bouncy tempo, the track eventually rockets into a new realm (though drastically short of D&B territory). This is definitely way out of Samsara's traditional sonic zone, but it's great to see a new side of an up-and-coming label.
