Oliver Sabin, better known as Unicorn Kid, is making moves.  This Scottish chiptune artist has the best remix on the new Gorillaz album, his single Dreamcatcher is a huge hit in the UK and the States, and his new album is set to be released early next year on mega-label Ultra Records.  Did I mention he's 18 years old?

Sabin is enjoying a meteoric rise in the world of 8-bit pop, and his recent signing to Ultra is a clear indication of where he's headed in the electronic music industry.  Major appearances at SXSW and T in the Park, along with an opening slot on the most recent Pet Shop Boys tour has made Unicorn Kid a darling in the indie set.  His forthcoming release will be about half instrumental, half vocal, with his first single featuring Australian electro-pop star Nick Littlemore of Empire of the Sun.
