For years now, we've been hearing tell of a special place, buried deep in the woods, where fans of eclectic, underground dance music can frolic and play with family and friends amongst the towering trees of northern California.
The legend of Enchanted Forest has grown over the years, and for good reason. The wildly popular but super intimate gathering has placed huge import on art, culture, community, and silliness, above all else. With a super credible lineup, and a breathtaking setting, the fest is unlike any other of its ilk.
This year, the festival moves to Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA from August 14-16. Still on the edge of the Mendocino Forest, the rich history of this beautiful location runs deep. In the 80's, Jerry Garcia and Wavy Gravy threw a party on the edge of the Eel River. Over the years, acts like Joan Baez, Los Lobos, and the Indigo Girls would make the trek into the woods. As recently as the mid-2000's, the legendary EarthDance grew its ranks at Black Oak Ranch, spawning many of the transformational festivals we know today.
Not only does the forest provide a rich tapestry for this festival, the organizers paint with sound, bringing in some of the brightest talent from our neck of the sonic woods. Headliners this year include KOAN Sound, Papadosio, Ott, Liquid Stranger, Phutureprimitive, Vaski, CloZee, Dragonfly, and Fine Cut Bodies, amongst others. From livetronica to deep dubstep and downtempo, the audio delights run the gamut.
Because we know this festival is so special, we are giving our fans a chance to save $11 when they purchase a ticket now. Visit our special custom ticket link, and grab yours soon, because these intimate affairs always sell out, and you don't want to lost outside the woods, now do you?
