Experimental duo EazyBaked is hard at work developing the next sound to take over the underground bass scene. Florida's Eric Ray and Andrew Principe have made waves with their unique sonic aesthetic amongst their contemporaries in the left-field, low-end set, but they're poised to make the leap from artists' artist to next big thing.

Principe and Ray are on the cusp of releasing Forward next month, and today we premiere the lead single from that collection which clearly spells out the game plan for these two.

Move Forward” is a sinister, sludgy monster of a track. Low key and utterly menacing, its loping rhythm stutters from one sub-bass rumble to another. A reaction to irreverent oddity, this single isn't throwing the kitchen sink at a track to make it weird for weird's sake; they're playing with sounds and flavors to truly develop an original angle. It's patient, and it's intriguing, and we're excited to hear what the rest of the record has in store.

Eazybaked is hitting ThazDope Records' stage at The Untz Festival alongside fellow experimenters Cut Rugs, Deerskin, and Moniker from June 2-4 in Mariposa, California. Everyone on the lineup, in fact, is attempting to move forward with that new sound.
