Livetronica is resurging across the country, thanks in part to old standbys like Conspirator continuing to grow, evolve, and tour, and young, up-and-comers like today's Fresh Beatz exclusive act Dopapod. The palindrome-infatuated quartet out of the northeast has been blazing across the country spreading its aggressive, post-rock, dancetronica, technically tight sound for some years now. Releasing both live and studio work, Dopapod is on the verge of dropping yet another album, Redivider, on 12.21. "STADA" is a stew of jam, metal, prog, and dance music, all testosterone and funky van smell. The joy of Dopapod's music is really in how the musicians intricately work their craft into the live sets. And there's plenty of live coming up. Their NYE run includes a spot with jam royalty moe. at The Palladium in Worcester, MA on 12.29, followed by two nights with fellow livetronica pillar Papadosio in Philadelphia, PA and Richmond, VA. Atlantic fans aching for a double-dose of Dopadosio have gotten their New Year's wish.
