For more than a decade, The New Deal embodied the unifying spirit of the jam and electronic worlds. This month and next mark the end of what has been an illustrious career for the Canadian trio. Dan Kurtz, bass player for tND, discusses his years with the band, as well as his new project, Dragonette, which enjoyed phenomenal success through its collaborations with the amazing Euro-house producer Martin Solveig.
This Saturday (December 17th) marks the final performance of The New Deal in their hometown of Toronto. They have shows in Philly and Baltimore before closing out the year with two post-Phish late-night shows in NYC. D.V.S*, whose new remix of The Doors' "The End" is featured on this program, will open for tND on Dec. 30th at the Highline Ballroom.
