When Chase & Status' Brand New Machine was released late last month, speculation abounded as to what Skrillex's remix of "International" would sound like. Fans and knee-jerk reactionaries alike would be surprised but not surprised to know that it's blisteringly unique, and carries shades of the industrial and techno influences that seem to be inspiring the latest Dog Blood material. But it's still got blistering bass capabilities, and the roughness and rawness of his last few mixes with Alvin Risk of "Try It Out" is streamlined into an intense and dubby track that once again demonstrates why he's at the top of the heap.
