Our ShadowTrix Music homies keep churning out quality tunes from a growing stable of up-and-coming acts. We've had our eye on Oakland's BOATS for a minute, and the dude is making gains on the x and y axes of quality and quantity.

Today the west coast bass producer drops the Liens EP. That EP comprises four originals and a fresh collab with Ethan Glass. Well surprise, surprise, which one did we choose to premiere? The Ethan Glass joint, “More of a...” is a wonky experiment in glitchy effects that is both subversive and totally mind-bending.

The Glass collab is different than anything else on the EP, which ranges from gritty sub stretchers to lo-fi chill waves. It's a hot new look at a fast-rising young producer with talent for days. The STM family knows how to capture the essence of the rapidly changing undergroud bass realm. Liens is a snapshot of the greatness gaining ground.
