Imagine capturing your most vivid lucid dream onto a mural of sound then playing it back to your fully conscious self. You have just envisioned a slice of long-time Twisted Music artist Benji Vaughan’s upcoming album, Even Tundra.
Three kaleidoscopic tracks from Even Tundra preview the upcoming album on a 16-minute SoundCloud set. To say the very least, this musical journey doesn’t shroud itself in any particular genre or scene. Instead, Benji Vaughan creates a dreamy, consciousness-expanding atmosphere through the incorporation of a variety of euphonic elements, from psychedelic whomps, to soothing ambient sounds.
“Even Tundra” (the album’s titular track) is otherwordly and ambient, radiating a creative vibe. “Everything in Colour” sounds like a dark fantasy, full of twisted surprises lurking around every corner. “Pyramid” sensually evokes curiosity and emotion with the incorporation of haunting female vocals mixed with melodious sound manipulation.
Although you may not recognize the name, Benji Vaughan is not new on the scene. He has been making music for 15 years, using different guises (Younger Brother, Prometheus and The Zap).
Even Tundra’s scheduled release date is September 2, 2013 and it is already available for pre-order.
