ShadowTrix Music is always keeping tabs on the next breakout stars of the underground bass scene. That's why they were able to sign bass phenom Alexandre, who has gotten some attention from Buygore, Terrorhythm, and Hebinomichi. On September 12th, the new EP from south Floridian Alexandre Lavigne, who now calls Austin, Texas home, will bubble to the surface on STM. Hypnagogic packs a punch in four tracks, which range from straight-forward hard-hitting trap and street bass to boldly experimental slimepunk.

Today we premiere “Granule,” the lead-off track from the collection, and one of its hypest beats. Sprawling and seroius in its approach, the cut pulses with hod-nodding energy as a skull-splitting drop punctures the delicate membrane of your subs. This one grabs a hold of you and does not let go. Lavigne has a sensation control of his sound, and shows major promise for the ShadowTrix brand.
