The first-ever SPIRIT FORWARD! day-and-night Celebration of Spirit is formally announced for Sunday, July 3, 2016, Independence Day Weekend, from 4pm to Midnight, at The Chapel. SPIRIT FORWARD! is presented by PARADOX Media, producers of the legendary, inimitable and description defying Edwardian Ball; HUSHconcerts, producers of peerless eclectic dance and silent disco events; and The Chapel, that – for the first time ever – is proudly partnering with these noted party and festival producers to found and launch a new and unrivaled annual entertainment institution.
SPIRIT FORWARD!, debuting at it’s annual home in the heart of the San Francisco’s Mission District, is a new, fresh, fun, and frenetic, day and night, indoor/outdoor, playfully patriotic music, dance, entertainment, live performance and art festival encompassing The Chapel's indoor main hall and her newly renovated special event space.
Headlining the indoor stage of this Red, White and Blue bombastic bash will be DirtyBird Records superstar Christian Martin, joined by local stalwarts Lisbona Sisters, Shiny Objects, MPHD and Sepehr. Outside under the sun and long into the starry night, a two-channel, multi-genre silent disco dance party will be headlined by Popscene/Live105's Aaron Axelsen. Axelsen will be joined by Space Cowboys' Zach Moore, Deckard and mancub, MoM DJs' Gordo Cabeza and DJ Phleck, Nonstop Bhangra's Jimmy Love, sonic siren Corinne and Matt Haze. Other attractions, distractions and interactions include engaging Art Cars, carnival games, Bahamut the Dragon, beguiling and luscious libations, and a unique delectable menu, served all night long and specially crafted for this event by The Chapel’s noted in-house restaurant, The Vestry.
San Franciscans know The Chapel as the city’s newest and incomparable premier hybrid live music venue, restaurant, and neighborhood bar located in the heart of the Mission District. Occupying a historic 1914 mortuary, the stunningly renovated chapel, with its soaring 40-foot high arched ceiling, has been lovingly converted into a breathtaking live performance venue with mezzanine, world-class restaurant, neighborhood bar, and outdoor dining patio. The Chapel’s new outdoor event space will debut with the launch of first-ever SPIRIT FORWARD!, which also marks The Chapel’s first foray into event co-promotion and co-production with two of San Francisco’s most well-respected entertainment event and festival producers.
