We are going to go out on a limb and say that 2011 was a pretty big year for Anton Zaslavski. Sure, he has some big remixes for Armand Van Helden and Fatboy Slim, and yes, people were already talking about him mere months after he began producing electronic dance music, but let's look at the facts. Over this past year, Zedd toured with Porter Robinson and Skrillex as part of the inaugural OWSLA tour, released some pretty huge tracks including "Shave It" and last month's "Stars Come Out" (the latter on Steve Aoki's Dim Mak label), and even had a couple of official remixes released on Lady Gaga's Born This Way deluxe edition package--not to mention the fact that he had primo spots on this year's Nocturnal Festival, Beyond Wonderland, Electric Forest, three Electric Daisy Carnivals, and Ultra Music Festival. The bottom line is, Zedd is no longer that young electro house producer out of Germany, he is a sought-after studio wizard with a panache and intensity on stage to accelerate him to the next level.

In that spirit, Zaslavski decided to give back a bit to his fans, who have made this whirlwind year a possibility. For a belated Christmas present, Zedd released a free mix that practically doubles as a catalog of some of the biggest club tunes of the year, including the Skrillex remix of Benny Benassi's "Cinema," Swedish House Mafia vs. Knife Party "Antidote", and the ubiquitous "Levels" from Avicii. Of course, there's also big bangers from Guetta, Chuckie, and Duck Sauce to kick off the monster mash. Don't forget clutch remixes and originals from Zedd's repertoire thrown in for good measure. All around, it's quite the celebration of the season, and a fitting appetizer for his steadily approaching NYE date with Pretty Lights in Broomfield, CO.
