Out of a crowded electronic scene in Denver, a new player has emerged in the bass movement. Unlimited Gravity, alter ego of producer Ronnie Weberg, has launched his new Cataclysmist EP, a quartet of new school glitch cuts that warp and wobble with the best. The uninitiated might draw similarities to the crunk stylings of Archnemesis, or the bit-crushed chip glitch of Bass Science's MattB, but the truth is UG is branching out into funkier, more rhythm-bending territory, almost like he's playing with dancers, adding elements of rubato that'll keep listeners on their toes. Standout tracks include the title cut, which plays off an early-90's hip-hop feel. Let's see what Unlimited Gravity does with limitless talent.
