Favorite ThisT.I. - Rubber Band Man [MT Nasty Glitter Clown Bootleg]

Published: September 4, 2012

Mike Trilius has found a way to combine the aesthetic of trap with the heart of glitch. MT Nasty, a known bootlegger of prime 90's and 2000's R&B like Ma$e, Destiny's Child, and Cam'ron, has taken on the totally hummable T.I. hit "Rubber Band Man." And no, before you ask, it's not the Disco-era tune from the Detroit Spinners, neither. MT's Glitter Clown boot slices and dices better than any dusty Cuisinart in your pantry. That rat-a-tat hi-hat grounds the cut in rap, while the beat bounces all over the place. Turn off your dome and turn on your booty, because your feet will find the beat. Trilus takes great passion in Ableton controllerism, with custom-mapped MIDI mayhem that fuses performance and production, à la Hobotech and ill.Gates. Catch him on select tour dates with Spankalicious this Fall, Sept 28th in Muncie, IN and Oct 12th in Lafayette, IN.
