Favorite ThisTheUntz.com presents Comic Strips: West Coast Tour (January 2012)

Published: December 20, 2011

Comic Strips is heading West like gold is coming back in style. Tom Holroyd, the 19-year-old electro phenom from Pittsburgh, is making his first trek out to the left coast, hot off two EP releases in October and November on Bazooka and Burn the Fire, respectively. Known for fusing catchy dance beats with liquid hot synths, the Comic Strips brand is lifting off and sending Holroyd and his high-flying remixes (most notably of Skrillex and Congorock, with more on the way) to new heights. On top of his viral remixes, the new Comic Strips single "Tear It Up," smashes grimy rock with flashy electro, slap bass and some lo-fi sludge riffs from Holroyd himself.

TheUntz.com is happy to announce that we will be bringing you four, count them FOUR, big dates with Comic Strips. First, Holroyd hits Noble in San Francisco on January 13th, then back to back dates in L.A. and Costa Mesa, first at Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Studios, then La Cave. Finally, he closes out his run in Phoenix at the hip and newly revamped Bar Smith. We'll have plenty more details about these shows, forthcoming, and certainly some opportunities to win tickets, so stay tuned!

Tour Dates:

1/17/11 - Dim Mak Studios (Los Angeles, CA)

1/18/11 - La Cave (Costa Mesa, CA)
