Skrillex releases brand new three-track Leaving EP

On the heels of a surprise video for "Summit" ft. Ellie Goulding, Skrillex is back for more with a brand new, three-track EP entitled Leaving. What is Sonny Moore leaving, exactly? Well, Ellie, for one. Hollywood? Dubstep? Music?? Doubtful. But here's what we do know. Opener "The Reason" has the trapstyle feel of his Birdy Nam Nam remix, but with a bit more groove in the intro and less edge overall. "Scary Bolly Dub" can't be called new-new. It takes "Fucking Die" and the title track from Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites and gives them a Bollywood dressing down in true dub fashion with some old-school, dancehall sounds. The title track, "Leaving," is moody, to say the least. Taking the vocal effect from the first track and applying it to the titular word. But it almost sounds like "living." Is this a response to his status as EDM hate lightning rod? "Hey ya'll, I'm just living?" Or is he leaving?
