ShlumpAs Liquid Stranger's Weird and Wonderful tour winds its way around the southeast over the next couple of weeks for a victory lap on its blowout circuit, we reflect on the huge leaps made by one of its breakout stars, Michael Petzel, who has captured our hearts and rattled our cabinets for a while now here at The Untz HQ. The new Shlump record, Like A Drug, drops on Martin Stääf's Wakaan label on November 16, and we couldn't be more excited.

We know how you love sneaky peeks, so we snagged a premiere of the title track from this subsonic tour de force, “Like A Drug,” and we're thrilled to present to bass-hungry fans all over the world. All eyes are on the west coast bass scene, which keeps reinventing itself, and in its latest incarnation has turned out some prodigious talent. Shlump's snares and kicks are solid, with a trippy, trappy sound that's right in line with his signature bass creations. Fans are going to be pumped, and Petzel will continue that upward trajectory he's already on.
