Multi-instrumentalist and jazz aficionado Russ Liquid emits ultra low frequency waves of cool. He probably eats, sleeps, and drinks, cool--when he's not blowing it through his horn. Born of the same cool Mr. Davis himself birthed, the Liquid man sits on the cusp of a brand new release with 1320 Records. Foreign Frequency is seventeen buttery delicious tracks of gooey goodness. Playing everything from flute and flugelhorn to piano and drums, Russell Scott demonstrates his chops with this monumental release.

The Untz is privileged to premiere "Alpha Bravo Echo Zulu," which sounds like ?uestlove discovered dabs on a rainy Sunday afternoon, and built a Herb Alpert android out of broken drum machines. Slip-sliding along a wonky beat, crisp horn sounds roll down a reverb staircase onto puffy white wisps of smoky cirrus. You dig? Grab this masterful album tomorrow (March 5) on 1320 Records.
