Random Rab is knee-deep in his spring tour with saQi, an anticipation grows for the digital, CD, and vinyl release of his forthcoming LP, Hiraeth. We have the teaser "Fate Shadow," with its pulsing, patient build and emotionally dense climax to give us a taste of the new album.

With paper thin vocals cooing and floating beside the gorgeous melodies, the hypnotic throbbing of "Fate Shadow" lulls us right into a trance. The energy and the intensity is palpable, though the song never carries above a whisper.

Longtime collaborator and digital artist Android Jones used the boiling, bubbling composition as a backdrop for his gorgeous winter landscape. Watch the master pixel painter use odd geometric patterns to create this warm, lush, and gorgeous scene with 1's and 0's. It's utterly fascinating.

The new Rab album will feature collaborations with Kyrstyn Pixton, Doug Appling and Ilya Goldberg of Emancipator, and Cedar Miller, among others. Stay tuned for more news about the release, and perhaps some more sonic glimpses into what the album holds in store for fans.
