The new crop of bass music artists has already taken hold in the scene. The root cause? West coast labels that continue to press on finding the hot young talent ready to push the envelope a step too far. Instrumental among them are ShadowTrix, Muti Music, and of course, one of our old faves, MalLabel.

The latest MalLabel find is Nick Krauskoff, performing and producing as Psyntimental out of the metro Detroit area. No stranger to high-profile bills, Krauskoff is getting his time to shine on August 31st, when his new EP, Martian Memories, gets a MalLabel release. What a thrill for a midwest kid!

Today we premiere “Polliwog Pond,” a thrilling sonic adventure filled with dashing synths, a gorgeous build, and a climactic wubby drop that has us hopping around the office. It's a really swampy tune for fans of that midwest dubstep sound.
